We are thrilled to welcome Tahnee and Lauren to the Outcross Systems support team!

Tahnee comes with a rich background in the livestock industry, from dairying and primary production to seedstock and saleyards. With hands-on experience in station work, farm management, and staff supervision, Tahnee is an expert in herd health and record-keeping systems. She’s been a Livestock Administration Officer and a Level 2 AuctionsPlus assessor and is currently also the Dorrigo Saleyard Manager. Tahnee is passionate about helping others thrive in saleyard management and is excited to bring her expertise to the Saleyards and Agencies support team at Outcross.

Lauren joins us with extensive experience from her 7-year career at Aurizon Quirindi, where she honed her skills in logistical management, team leadership, and data analysis. After moving into administration at UNE, Lauren continued to excel in customer interaction and compliance management. She’s also an active member of the Armidale campdraft club and owns a property managing cattle and sheep. Lauren is excited to help our Stockbook customers get the most out of the program and contribute to their success.

Webinar

Outcross Systems is proud to partner with Herefords Australia to deliver a webinar on Wednesday November 15 at 7.30pm NSW time.

The webinar will be focusing on the importance of collecting accurate, individual animal performance data in your operation using Stockbook software.

Our Sales Consultant, Rob Powell, will explain how and why you need to collect this data, and how Stockbook helps you manage genetic performance, fertility, weight gain and other lifetime performance measures so you can identify all levels of improved herd performance and comply with industry standards.

He will also go through the process of collecting DNA samples and processing these to and from the lab and then on to Herefords Australia for registration. Finally he will touch on the power of filtering data and producing accurate reports that are invaluable for decision making in your business.

Rob has a wealth of experience, growing up on his family farm in Coolah and working across both the sheep and cattle industries. Rob has been helping Stockbook clients with their data management for over 13 years and is known and appreciated for going ‘above and beyond’ for his customers.

We’re adjusting our prices from January 2023

We’re reaching out to you to advise you that there will be an increase to your Stockbook subscription, effective 1st January 2023.

Outcross Systems is committed to ensuring that our products, services, advice and support add direct value to your business.

We would like to thank you for your loyalty and support over the recent years. Since 2019, the business has absorbed any external price increases. However, with continued rising costs across the business and externally, we have found ourselves in a position where an increase to your software subscription is inevitable.

This pricing increase will allow Outcross Systems to continue to provide the best service we can and to improve the product by introducing features and integrations that our customers have been requesting.

Mandatory EID for sheep producers is set for 1 January 2025

Outcross Systems have been involved with Sheep EIDs for several years, helping to trial software and hardware solutions for the Victorian introduction back in 2017 and tweaking the systems used to manage and process the data.

Other governments have recently announced the 1st of January 2025 as the date for mandatory Sheep EID, meaning that in just over two years, there will be a mandatory requirement to capture and record sheep movements through EID with the NLIS.

Stockbook, our producer software, can capture, record, store and report on animal movements with the NLIS anywhere on the farm.

Our saleyard and agent products, including Stockyard & SaleyardLE, are used in many saleyards and agent offices throughout Australia, including Hamilton Regional Livestock Exchange which puts over 1,000,000 sheep through their saleyards annually.

Our Saleyard systems have been perfected for Sheep EID, benefiting from years of feedback from experienced agents to be able to fit any saleyard process.
